Tianjin Fortune Machinery Visits Shanghai Steel Tube Industry Association

Strengthening industry collaboration to improve quality and efficiency in tube production

On May 13, 2026, Ms. Zhang Xianghong, Deputy General Manager of Tianjin Fortune Machinery, and Mr. Chen Yifei, Assistant to the Chief Engineer, visited the Shanghai Steel Tube Industry Association (SSTA). They were warmly received by Secretary-General Wei Liqun, Director Wang Sainan, and Director Liu Zhenghao.

Secretary-General Wei welcomed the Tianjin Fortune Machinery team and introduced SSTA’s recent work. He noted that SSTA has successfully organized four annual steel tube conferences, including the 4th China Steel Pipe Industry New Quality Development Conference (March 2026, Jiaxing) under the theme “New Quality Leading Smart Steel Pipe Manufacturing.” He expressed appreciation for Tianjin Fortune Machinery’s long-term support.

During the meeting, both sides discussed Tianjin Fortune Machinery’s core products – hydrostatic testing machine, pipe straightening machine, automatic stacking machine, end-face chamfer machine, and others – as well as industry trends. Ms. Zhang thanked SSTA for its support and noted that the conference theme aligns closely with Tianjin Fortune Machinery’s R&D direction. According to Ms. Zhang, Tianjin Fortune Machinery prioritizes innovation, and its R&D team is developing next-generation hydrostatic testers and automated finishing lines.

Secretary-General Wei praised Tianjin Fortune Machinery’s technical achievements, noting that several SSTA members have used equipment from Tianjin Fortune Machinery with high satisfaction. He encouraged Tianjin Fortune Machinery to participate more actively in standard-setting. Ms. Zhang agreed, stating that Tianjin Fortune Machinery is eager to contribute to industry-wide improvements. She added that Tianjin Fortune Machinery’s membership in the International Tube Association (ITA) provides a global perspective.

The two parties also discussed industry challenges such as energy efficiency and digital transformation. Mr. Chen presented technical data from recent installations of Tianjin Fortune Machinery’s six-roller straighteners and end-face chamfer machines, demonstrating how Tianjin Fortune Machinery’s equipment reduces downtime and improves yield. Secretary-General Wei suggested that Tianjin Fortune Machinery host a technical webinar under SSTA’s platform. Ms. Zhang confirmed that Tianjin Fortune Machinery is preparing case studies to share with peers.

Both parties agreed that industry-chain collaboration is key to enhancing production quality and efficiency. The visit laid a foundation for future cooperation in technology promotion, standard setting, and exhibitions. Ms. Zhang invited Secretary-General Wei to visit Tianjin Fortune Machinery’s facility in Wuqing District, Tianjin. Secretary-General Wei gladly accepted.

The meeting concluded positively. As Ms. Zhang said, “Tianjin Fortune Machinery was founded on relentless innovation. With SSTA’s support, we will achieve even greater success.”
